The China Hall at IFA is just chock full of cheap tablets. Some are more strange and interesting than others. The Bosma E8 3D tablet has the dubious distinction of being a 3D tablet.
The 8.1 inch display has the option to switch between 2D and 3D depending on your mood and what makes this 3D tablet worth mentioning over the others we stumbled upon is that the 3D does not require glasses. We think this is particularly important for mobile devices, wearing glasses in the privacy of my own home or movie theater is one thing, but in a coffee shop is another. The tablet comes with a dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor running at 1.2 GHz, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB memory. The Bosma E83D is running Android 4.0.4 but hopes to be Jelly Bean in its future.
We don’t have any word on pricing or availability, but we were told that we could expect it to ship in the $400-450 price range thanks to the no glasses 3D display.
