It’s not rare to see those “best smartphones” lists all over the internet. There is a major misconception on what “best” means, though. As tech personalities (of sorts), we often get asked what the “best” smartphone is – and it’s never a straight answer. This is because we all have different opinions, priorities and needs.
This is why we have created lists for the best smartphones with a removable battery, best one-handed smartphones, best camera phones, best dual-SIM smartphones, best affordable smartphones and even smartphones with the best battery life.
There is one topic almost no one is talking about. What about those who simply want a phone that looks good? Fashion and looks are very important when it comes to choosing a phone, yet most of us geeks forget to consider this crucial factor. At Mobile Geeks, we want you all to be covered, so here’s our list of the most fashionable smartphones around.
By the way, we are not counting those tacky smartphones that cost a fortune and have all kinds of metals and precious stones. We are only talking about accessible devices that the average fashion-looking user could afford.
iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
Of course, we can’t forget about the phone that has set a standard in the industry. You may love or hate Apple, but we can’t deny that iPhones are pretty darn good looking. Apple puts a great focus on design, which makes the iPhone 6 more than a very good phone. It’s gives its user a certain social status and looks very good doing so.
The metallic smartphone looks sleek and very minimalistic, which makes it elegant. With every iPhone iteration, the iconic devices just keep getting thinner and lighter, which offers a svelte design. It may not always feel as solid as other smartphones, but it sure looks better than most.
HTC One M8
The HTC One (M7) marked a new era for HTC. The manufacturer that once made some of the most solid smartphones around was now making some of the sexiest devices around. The HTC One M8 is now a symbol of what Android manufacturers can do if they really set their hearts on quality.
The phone is powerful, very resistant and boy does it look good. It’s metallic body gives it a quality that arguably exceeds iPhone expectations. Meanwhile, it still continues to be one of the best phones in 2014 for the geeks. There is no way to go wrong with it – this smartphone is gorgeous.
Nokia Lumia 1520
OK, so the Nokia Lumia 1520 may be a bit too large for some people’s tastes (6-inch screen), but every single millimeter of that slab looks good. It manages to be among the company’s best smartphones, while keeping the true meaning of Nokia design in its blood.
This smartphone is powerful, simple and fast. It comes in multiple colors, which will allow you to choose a fun hue that will match your style. Especially if you are feeling vibrant.
BlackBerry is definitely not going to win any popularity contests… probably ever again. There’s no denying that there is a certain class about BlackBerries that no other manufacturer can match, though. A suited man just doesn’t look the same pulling out an iPhone or Nokia Lumia smartphone. No – they pull out their classy Blackberry smartphones.
I have to say my favorite right now is the BlackBerry Passport. I know it’s among the weirdest smartphones out there, but it also represents BlackBerry’s effort to improve its design. It’s also their way of innovating in a very competitive market.
Regardless, the phone looks pretty good. I happen to think it has a touch of class that really can’t be matched by your average smartphone.
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
Let me tell you right now: I am far from being a fan of Samsung designs. In fact, I wasn’t going to add a single Samsung device in this list, but the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge manages to look sleek and simple. At the same time, it has a very interesting edge display that will turn heads left and right. It’s not only a geek’s dream, but it’s a stunning device.
The Moto X simply had to be in this list. It’s one of the most customizable smartphones in the world. This means you can make the device whatever you want it to be. Colorful, classy, playful, anything. You can even choose to give it a wooden back! Gotta love it.
Sony Xperia Z3
And of course, the Sony Xperia Z3 is also a great looking device. It’s flat, square look also makes it look very elegant. It’s also our favorite smartphone at Mobile Geeks, so it happens to be a very capable phone, as well.
LG Prada 3.0
LG did partner with Prada to make a smartphone. If you really want a designer name on your device, this is likely your best bet. I must say the LG Prada is not much to my liking, and its specs are outdated. Regardless, it does have an elegant look and sleek design. Not to mention, “Prada” is written all over its back (literally).
