We have spent plenty of time at the ASUS booth, here at Computex 2015. They just have so much awesome stuff to show this year, and we couldn’t leave without taking a look at the ASUS VivoMini UN65.
This is a full-on computer fitted in a tiny box that can fit anywhere. You can place it right under the monitor, or even behind it (where it wouldn’t be visible). It’s pretty much something for those who want portability, but still want to have some flexibility with ports and specs.
The VivoMini UN65 comes with Intel Core Skylake processors, 2-16 GB of RAM, up to 1 TB of storage and an M2 SATA slot. In terms of ports, we can find a power connector, an HDMI, DisplayPort, 2xUSB 3.0, an ethernet jack, a 3.5 mm audio port, a kensignton lock entrance, SD card slot and an extra set of 2 USB ports on the other side of the device.
On the outside we can see it’s a pretty basic box. There are no bells or whistles. It’s mostly made of plastic, but its circular brushed design (which we have seen in many ASUS devices) is pretty elegant. Remember, this is a device you won’t really be holding all the time, so it doesn’t need to feel good.
It’s a pretty darn good computer, if you ask me. I love that it comes with so many options and customization. I mean, just look at the range of specs!
Price will depend on the version you get, of course. ASUS is staying pretty quiet about that, as well as availability. We are pretty sure this thing will hit the shelves sometime this year, though. Are you thinking of getting one?
