The Samsung Galaxy S2 is not a new handset, it’s been on the market well over a year, but it’s a great phone and the price is right for a lot of consumers who don’t need to have the latest tech in their lives.
The Galaxy S2 is a slightly bigger in size and slightly flatter and it even weighs less than the iPhone 5. The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy S2 are 4.93 x 2.60 x 0.33 inches and 4.09 oz/116 g. iPhone 5 will have 4.82 x 2.53 x 0.34 inches and 5.1 oz/144 g.
The iPhone 5 has a OLED Retina Display of 960 x 640 pixels and is 4 inches while the Samsung Galaxy S2 has a Super AMOLED display of 800 x 400 pixels on a 4.3 inches screen. Apple’s handset though smaller is crisper and clearer.
What is interesting is that the Samsung Galaxy S2 has a Dual core XMM6260, 1200 MHz Processor and the iPhone 5 is equiped with an A5 Dual-core Processor of 1GHz. So the clock speed is quicker on the S2, we have to consider the high customization Apple has put into the display and the fact that it’s been uncovered to have a 3 core GPU.
