Acer went on an announcing spree last week, unveiling multiple devices all at one. One of them was meant to be bundled with their new smartwatch, this smartphone would be the Liquid Jade. How does it fare on its own, though? Is it a worthy device?
This is the first time we get to touch the Liquid Jade, and it is not too bad. The 5-inch display has a 720p resolution. This is good, but not as stunning as those 1080 displays. It does have pretty good viewing angles, though.
The device’s construction is mainly based on plastic, so it won’t feel like a very premium smartphone. It is very compact and light, and it’s one of the first Mediatek smartphones to run Android 4.4 KitKAt.
Acer is aiming at the mid-end smartphone market with the Liquid Jade. It sports a 1.3 GHz quad-core Mediatek processor, 1 GB of RAM and a 2100 mAh battery. The battery is not bad, but other specs leave you hoping for more.
