At CES Acer introduced the Iconia B1 7 inch tablet. We took a closer look at this budget tablet and compare it to the Google Nexus 7. First, let’s talk about Acer’s new tablet.
The Acer Iconia Tab B1 will be available at the end of January for 119 Euros. The 7 inch 1024×600 display tablet comes with an 1.2 GHz dualcore CPU, 512MB of memory and 8 GB storage. Android 4.1.2. Jelly Bean is preinstalled. Micro SD and micro USB ports are positioned on the sides of the device.

After the hands-on, we did a direct comparison between the Google Nexus 7 and the Acer Iconia Tab B1. The two are both 7 inch tablets, but the Google Nexus 7 is obviously the more powerful machine with a better display. The price difference is less than $100, so considering, the Nexus is probably the better bet.
