Western Digital has come out with an ultra thin hard drive that’s only 5mm thick, its got from 8-32GB of NAND Flash Memory and a 500GB traditional spinning hard drive. This hard drive is aimed at Ultrabooks and laptops, Acer and ASUS have expressed interest in this technology for the Aspire & Zenbook lineup, but it is entirely possible that this could end up in a tablet. We wonder if any manufacturer will break the mould and stick a 500GB HDD in a tablet, you’d just have to be careful not to drop it.

Something for Archos to play around with i guess.
